Before I started this program, I never thought of how foods might affect my mood or energy level. I wanted to lose inches on my waist and did not understand why that was not happening even though I exercised 3-5x a week. And I wondered, why was I constantly tired even after a full night’s rest? I also avoided afternoon meetings at work. I no longer dread an afternoon meeting and am not falling asleep at the wheel on my commute home. Now I am eating much better—and enjoying it! I actually crave greens everyday. I bring my lunch to work and am much more conscious of what I am eating and how it affects my mood, my energy and my relationships with people.

The causes of my gastrointestinal distress have been identified and eliminated from my diet, and the results are a flat and calm stomach with smooth, efficient intestinal activity. Hooray! I have lost 10 lbs without even trying. In addition, my severe sinus headaches, congestion and post nasal drip that were driving me crazy are eased and under control, now that Sharon helped me identify the culprits in my diet. Furthermore, my cravings for chocolate and unhealthy fats are under control because I now know what triggers them and how to prevent it with a balanced diet. Overall, I feel empowered because I finally “get” the connections between what I put in my mouth and what happens in my body. I’ve also learned that eating right means putting very specific nutrients into my body on a regular basis. After six sessions, I feel that I am armed with the knowledge and food skills I need to stay healthy, choose the right foods and listen to my body’s signs.
