O Penicillin Cocktail é uma das receitas modernas mais importantes para a coquetelaria

Agora, à frente do Attaboy, e junto com seu par no Milk & Honey, Michael McIlroy, criaram um ambiente intimista numa pequena rua do East Village, com formato semelhante ao M&H, sem cardápio fixo. penicillin cocktailSam Ross também é responsável pela criação do Paper Plane Cocktail, uma receita que combina boubon, aperol, amaro nonino e limão siciliano.

Voltando ao Penicillin, é uma receita com personalidade forte, com um toque cítrico e adoçado, com aroma defumado e um  leve apimentado.
Pode-se pensar em um Hot Toddy, versão repaginada e gelada deste outro clássico da história da coquetelaria.

Penicillin Cocktail

penicillin cocktail60 ml de scotch whiskey
22 ml de suco de limão siciliano
22 ml de xarope de mel 1:1 (água e mel diluído em partes iguais)
2 fatias de gengibre fresco
7 ml de Islay single-malt Whiskey

Em uma coqueteleira, coloque o gengibre fresco, o xarope de mel e limão siciliano e amasse bem. Acrescente o scotch whiskey e cubos de gelo e bata vigorosamente.
Coe para um copo baixo com novos cubos de gelo e finalize com o Islay whiskey.
Ou você coloca o Islay por cima do líquido ou simplesmente borrifa o whiskey por cima do líquido. Decore com uma fatia de gengibre cristalizado e sirva sem canudo.
